Abigail is the first of this year’s shearlings (new mums) to have her lamb. She was looking a little uncomfortable and bewildered in the early evening but this progressed very quickly inbetween my late evening checks!

00:20 lamb born!!
She was doing great but just needed a wee bit of help over the finish line, 9\/10 overall for the first time mum!!!
She was a bit reluctant to stand up afterwards, her lamb was up before her, so I gave her some pain relief and that did the trick. She has been incredibly attentive and I’ve already witnessed the lamb tucking into his first meal of yummy golden colostrum!
Abigail is doing a fab job, her mum Victoria is now a grandma, who is incidentally now two days overdue herself, and the tup lamb has been named Cole!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And Cole is VERY special indeed as his sire is the Mighty Zeus!!! Yes that\u2019s right our wonderful Zeus lives on!! Whoop whoop!!!
