Grass Fed, Native Breed, Lamb, Hogget, Mutton
Our Coloured Ryeland flock of sheep are a native breed dating back to the 1600s. Unlike commercial sheep, they are slow to mature which means they spend their lives outdoors grazing on our permanent grass pastures. We keep the use of medicines to a bear minimum, only using them when absolutely necessary for the welfare of the animal.
Reared slowly on grass means their meat is flavoursome and tender with just the right amount of fat to enhance that flavour during cooking.

Rare Breed Outdoor Reared Pork
Our pork comes from our rare and native breed Oxford Sandy & Black pigs. On the Rare Breed Survival Trust ‘at risk’ register this beautiful docile and gentle pig fell out of fashion due to its fat coverage, in other words it wasn’t lean enough for what consumers are led to believe they want.
Slow reared in our woodland, grazing on grass, brambles, roots, fallen acorns, and berries, our pork is packed full of flavour and that ‘fat’ layer bastes the meat during the cooking process ensuring it is juicy and tender!
