LADIES AND GENTLEMEN……..

Please be upstanding for Charles and Camilla!!

Well we couldn’t not call Queen Victoria’s lambs after royalty could we😂?

Yes that’s right, Victoria decided she wasn’t going to be outdone by her daughter Abigail so she went into labour this morning at the very reasonable time of 5.30.

After a little sort out Charles was born first very closely followed by Camilla. And when I say very closely I mean they were trying to come out at the same time!!! The presentation was Charles head with Camilla’s legs on top!!! I had my shepherdess in training with me this morning so I taught her how to stay calm and how to not rush but be efficient when dealing with these situations.

I had to work fast as Charles’ umbilical cord was likely to have snapped and he would be taking his first breath within the birth canal, not ideal, and I didn’t want him breathing in copious amounts of amniotic fluid. Finally I got them separated and out they came as quickly as possible.

Victoria was a star mum as always and after some pain relief she was seeing to them with love and affection.

Charles and Camilla are the first lambs born to be sired by our own Ryecroft Axle and just like him they are both rather large!
